Luke Cheyne is currently the Performance Academy Manager in the West Midlands, whilst also taking on the role of Head of Sports Science alongside our Athletic Development Partnership with SAQ® International.

A UEFA B Qualifed Coach, Luke has been involved with Coerver® Coaching since the age of 14, formerly as a player and part-time coach and has a vast knowledge base regarding Coerver® Coaching's methodologies and philosophies.

Luke has completed a BSc (Hons) Degree in Sport and Exercise Science at Liverpool John Moores University, where he was awarded both an academic and sport scholarship to the University. During 2015, Luke will begin a Masters Degree, whilst working towards completing his UK Strength and Conditioning Association Qualification.

Upon joining us full-time in July 2014, Luke's previous role had seen him working at Premier League™ Club, Everton FC acting within the Sports Science team, working with players across both academy and first team environments. This professional experience has allowed Luke to transfer a number of ideas into the Performance Academy, with additional Sports Science support being made available to the development of the players within the Performance Academy.

In addition to his role within the Performance Academy, Luke also works extensively with Coerver® Director Scott Wright, assisting in the delivery of the Coerver® Coaching Coach Education courses both in the UK and across Europe.
